University COVID-19 Dashboard for Spring 2022 Reporting
The University’s COVID-19 Dashboard shares data related to campus-based administered tests and results. It is important to be aware that data reported evolves as we continue to move through the pandemic just as University protocols shift and adjust to support the health and well-being of our community. Each week, the data includes numbers related to different testing strategies depending upon the needs of our students, faculty and staff. Members of the community may test due to a requirement, being symptomatic and/or other varied reasons. Thus, testing data offers a snap shot of one aspect of the University’s COVID-19 strategies. Additional mitigation measures such as the high vaccination rates of our students and employees and continued masking further shape a more complete status of our campus community. Overarchingly, Highlanders are doing their part to keep themselves and others healthy and safe!
As we move into an endemic phase, the University will continue to make testing available to asymptomatic students, faculty and staff through established weekly testing and symptomatic students at Student Health and the RUC Nurse Navigator. As with all University COVID-19 protocols and measures, the reporting on this dashboard will adjust as appropriate. The last update for this dashboard for the Spring 2022 semester will be made on May 10, 2022. For questions, please contact COVID19@radford.edu.
NOTE: In observation of Governor Youngkin’s Executive Directive Number Two: Ensuring Privacy Protections and Individual Rights of Executive Branch Employees that went into effect on January 15, 2022, employee vaccination status is no longer being collected and testing protocols discontinued. Consistent with a legal opinion issued by the Virginia Attorney General on January 26, 2022 student COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots are no longer required as a general condition of enrollment or in-person attendance. The weekly testing requirement for students not fully vaccinated has been discontinued.
