and safe practices during their time both on and off campus. Please see below a checklist for how you can do your part each and every day!

Slow the Spread. Do The Five.
Wash your hands!
Wear a mask!
Avoid touching your face!
Maintain physical distancing!
Stay home if you feel sick!

Symptom Tracker
Please be reminded that all students, faculty, and staff, as well as registered visitors, are required to complete the Daily Symptom Tracker. Maintaining a daily routine by always responding to these questions first thing in the morning is a good approach to keeping yourself and others healthy and safe.

Through the utilization of this tool, all members of the Radford University community are required to monitor their health on a daily basis. This tool is intended to assist with the consistency of regular health screenings and can serve as a journal for individual Highlanders.

The tool is available at http://www.radford.edu/symptom-tracker and also accessible through the OneCampus portal at https://onecampus.radford.edu/. Please note that individuals who are not physically present on campus are not required to complete the daily submission.

Face Coverings
Please be reminded that the Commonwealth of Virginia has implemented universal masking requirements, including the continuous wearing of face coverings indoors in both business and school environments unless one is working independently in his or her own area or space. Please note that face coverings should be worn outside at all times when six feet of physical distancing is not possible around others.

At Radford University, students are required to wear face coverings while in class, conducting business on campus, and in shared/common spaces. Faculty can stand behind a clear barrier at a podium or wear a face covering. Employees, both faculty and staff, working independently in their offices do not have to wear face coverings. Employees in common areas and shared/meeting spaces are required to wear face coverings.

Gathering Limitation
Please be reminded that the Commonwealth of Virginia has implemented a gathering limitation of 10 individuals, which must be followed both on campus and in the community. Please note that classroom and laboratory instruction, as well as clinical rotations and field experiences, are not included as part of this limitation. The University is committed to increasing the gathering limitation over the course of the Spring 2021 semester; however, any increase must be aligned with state mandates. Gathering limitation adjustments will be communicated with the entire campus community. The limitation remains at 10 individuals until further notice.

Statewide Curfew
Please be reminded of the Governor’s current stay at home order from midnight to 5:00 AM, which remains in effect until Sunday, January 31, 2021. In accordance with the Governor’s order, all individuals in Virginia must remain at their place of residence during the aforementioned hours with exceptions for obtaining food and goods, traveling to and from work, or seeking medical attention.

We are committed to providing a safe learning, living, and working environment for all Highlanders. Our ability to uphold that commitment is dependent upon every student, as well as each faculty and staff member. Let’s start the Spring 2021 semester strong by following all requirements and precautions!
