Message to Faculty and Staff

Dear Faculty and Staff:

Radford University officials are closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak that began in China. This is an ongoing issue and a rapidly evolving outbreak at the global level.

In an effort to share information about COVID-19, the University created a webpage, which is available at www.radford.edu/coronavirus.  The webpage provides an overview, symptoms, guidance and protocol, and preventive measures and actions for the campus community as it relates to COVID-19.  Additionally, the webpage provides information about the Student Health Center at Radford University, current travel advisories and resources.

For national information and monitoring of COVID-19, visit the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website.  According to information posted by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), there are no confirmed cases in Virginia.  For additional information about COVID-19 and the Commonwealth of Virginia, visit the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) website.

Please encourage fellow members of the campus community to become informed about COVID-19.  This is a time in which we are all concerned about the well-being of our families and loved ones, as well as our community.  As such, all individuals are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, stay home if ill and demonstrate healthy habits.

Sincerely,

Susan
