Monitoring the Coronavirus Radford University

Dear Students:

Radford University officials have been, and continue to, monitor COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus).  We are working diligently to provide informational resources and regular updates.  For additional information, visit https://www.radford.edu/content/radfordcore/home/coronavirus.html.

The health and safety of our campus community are of the utmost importance.  As a campus, we are continuing to follow the guidance of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local health officials, in evaluating conditions and making decisions for both long-term and short-term impacts on people, programs and processes.

Before moving forward with travel for Spring Break, which occurs this coming week, you are encouraged to carefully think about and possibly reconsider any travel, especially internationally, and fully assess the risks both of your destination(s) and traveling through domestic and international areas where the virus has been confirmed.  For additional information regarding travel advisories and restrictions, visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories.html/ and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html. For domestic travel, a U.S. map detailing confirmed COVID-19 cases is available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html.

As new information is available, updates will be provided to the campus community and posted at https://www.radford.edu/content/radfordcore/home/coronavirus.html.

Sincerely,
Susan
