Summer School Transition to Fully Online Delivery
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:
Due to the ongoing public health concerns regarding the continued COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the Governor’s temporary stay at home order and social distancing guidelines, Radford University will transition all Summer Session course offerings to a fully online delivery. This is not ideal, but necessary as we continue to place the health, safety, and well-being of all Highlanders, as well as our communities, first and foremost.
Summer Session course offerings are provided as part of Maymester from May 18, 2020 through June 6, 2020; Summer I term from May 18, 2020 through June 20, 2020; Summer II term from June 29, 2020 through August 1, 2020; and Summer III term from May 18, 2020 through August 1, 2020. For detailed information, including a full listing of courses, please visit https://www.radford.edu/content/summer/home.html.
Summer Session registration is currently open for all courses. No PIN is necessary to register. All registration related questions should be directed to the Registrar’s Office on the main campus by e-mailing registrar@radford.edu or calling 540-831-5271 and at Radford University Carilion (RUC) by e-mailing rucregistrar@radford.edu or calling 540-985-8108.
The Financial Aid Office, both on the main campus and at RUC, stands ready to support students as they continue their Radford experience over the summer months. New Summer Session financial aid applicants for main campus should register for classes and submit the “Summer Financial Aid Application” found in the Financial Aid channel of MyRU. Main campus students who have already completed the “Summer Financial Aid Application” will begin receiving Summer Session financial aid award notifications beginning on April 15, 2020. Student information at RUC will automatically be reviewed for available aid programs after registering for classes. All Summer Session financial aid related questions should be directed to the Financial Aid Office on the main campus by e-mailing finaid@radford.edu or calling 540-831-5408 and at RUC by e-mailing rucfinancialaid@radford.edu or calling 540-985-8267.
Although the Spring 2020 semester has turned out very differently than any of us had hoped or imagined, we are making the most of our current reality. At this challenging time, I ask for each and every one of us to continue engaging with and supporting our fellow Highlanders as we move forward. This is truly a great time for you to finish the Spring semester strong and explore all that Summer Session offers the Radford family as we continue to teach, learn, and serve together both near and far.
Sincerely,
Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
President
