Message to Students, Faculty, and Staff from Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Joseph P. Scartelli, Ph.D.

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

As we continue to monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 global pandemic, you are being asked to complete a voluntary travel declaration form to help us stay informed and prepared. This form is for any recent travel, both domestic and international, during the past two weeks, including Spring Break.

This form is not required, but your participation is a direct way to support the health and well-being of the Radford family and the broader community. Please know, as this situation is developing and evolving, areas that were not previously of concern may be considered as such in the days and weeks to come.

As shared in yesterday’s message from President Hemphill, this information will be held as part of an educational record for students and a personnel record for faculty and staff. The information will be shared with local health officials as needed on a case-by-case basis.

It is requested that you complete this form for any travel outside of a 90-mile radius of the Radford University educational site in which you learn or work, whether that be on the main campus in Radford, the Roanoke Higher Education Center and Radford University Carilion, both in Roanoke, or the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Joseph P. Scartelli, Ph.D.
Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
