INTERESTED IN STAFF SENATE?
Position Overview:
As a Staff Senate Representative for Student Affairs, you will play a critical role in representing the interests and concerns of staff members within the department. You will collaborate with fellow Senate members to address staff-related matters and contribute to the overall betterment of our campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a voice for Student Affairs staff in Senate discussions and decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address staff needs, concerns, and suggestions.
- Engage in regular meetings and contribute constructively to Senate initiatives.
- Foster a sense of community and communication among Student Affairs staff and the wider campus community.
- Participate in committees and working groups focused on staff welfare and development.

The Radford University Staff Senate was created in 1995 to give classified staff a voice in the governance of Radford University. Staff Senate meetings are open to the university community and are usually held on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 9 a.m. All university staff are invited and encouraged to attend.
