Jayma Mays, '00
Jayma Mays graduated from RU in 2000 with a B.S. in Theatre. Best known for her role as Emma Pillsbury in the award-winning Glee, she has made numerous appearances in movies including The Smurfs and television shows such as Heroes and Ugly Betty.

Haley Raines discovered her love for costuming at Radford. Now, she indulges that passion by keeping things sharp in her position as Wardrobe Supervisor at Washington, DC’s internationally acclaimed Woolly Mammoth Theatre.

Monte C. Haught, ‘91
Previously nominated for making Glee stars look good, Hair and Makeup Designer Monte C. Haught is up again for the Emmy in Outstanding Hairstyling for a Movie or Miniseries for his work on American Horror Story. Haught is Department Head Hairstylist for the popular show. A veteran of Broadway and now TV, Monte says, “I credit my time at Radford Theatre Department in helping me on my career path and success!”

Jim Chandler, '03
Since 2010 Jim has appeared in ten short films. A break came when he landed a role in the attention-grabbing 'mockbuster' Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies. Jim made his national television debut in July 2012 on Lifetime Network's hit show Drop Dead Diva and he just completed Pop Rocket, a new web-series from Olan Rogers. Jim says he hopes what he learned at RU will help him “keep fooling the audience.”

Amy Surratt, '08
Amy recently completed her MFA in Theatre at Sarah Lawrence College where she specialized in developing new/experimental work. She was a playwriting/directing scholarship student at LaMama Umbria International and sound intern for a recent Mabou Mines workshop. She’s currently producing and developing work in NYC where her latest project has her directing My Date With Troy Davis, which will be featured in the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival. Amy states that she feels tremendous gratitude to her “RU Family,” thanking them for “their time, knowledge and unwavering commitment to her growth as an artist.”

Christopher Thompson ‘03
In the summer of ’13 Chris will join the newly minted global team of clothing retail giant The Gap as Manager, Global Marketing, Visual Merchandising for the company’s GapKids line. "Having a degree in theatre has helped me become such a confident, well-rounded individual. There isn't an aspect of my job that doesn't tie back to my degree.” He has this advice for current RU students: "Laugh at yourself. Try something new. Take an arts class. Work hard and make a lot of friends!"

Scott Brown, ‘05
Scott lives in Washington, DC, where he is utilizing his degree to its fullest potential as actor, dancer, tour guide, casting assistant, director and filmmaker. He is a senior company member of Synetic Theater with which he has performed all over the world in dozens of productions. Scott is a professional mascot of multiple sports teams in the area and volunteers at The White House. He has been featured in multiple commercials, industrials and television shows such as “Brad Meltzer’s: Decoded” on the History Channel.

Robert Regan Burns, '09
Robert Regan Burns currently stars in the Disney Channel’s Dog with a Blog. He was a co-creator and star of Comedy Central’s Halfway Home and hosted the hidden-camera game show Oblivious on Spike TV. Burns has been featured in over 200 national commercials and in guest stints on such shows as NCIS:LA, How I Met Your Mother, Weeds and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to name a few. He still uses many of the tools he learned in his four years at RU in his work today.
