Center For Accessibility Services

Students seeking academic accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act must register with the Center for Accessibility Services (CAS) to determine eligibility. Students qualified for academic accommodations will receive accommodation letters and should meet with each course professor during office hours, to review and discuss accommodations.

Center For Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL)

CITL supports students in these areas: ePortfolio design and development, media production, 3D printing, virtual reality experiences, drone operation basics, sewing basics, Cricut machine basics, electronics and robotics basics, and recording studio.

CHBS Writing Center

Free to Radford University students, the CHBS Writing Center offers one-on-one assistance with all stages of the writing process. This includes, but is not limited to, getting started, organization, drafting & revising, grammar & mechanics, format & structure, and citation & documentation.

The Harvey Center For Learning and Writing

Offers one-on-one and small group consulting, seminars and other tools and resources to help you boost the study skills you need for academic success.

Student Success and Retention

Will meet individually with students to assist in their development of success strategies such as time management and creating effective study schedules.

Oversees MASH (Mentoring Academically Successful Highlanders), a mentoring program that provides academically at-risk students with an upperclassman mentor who guides them through the academic and social challenges associated with college.

Manages Starfish, an early alert system, that allows faculty to provide timely feedback to students and help advisors know how students are performing in their classes.

Technology Assistance Center

The single point of contact for technology related questions, assistance and issues with RU and RUC systems and computer devices.

Undergraduate Academic Advising

Supports students so that they might succeed in their pursuit of undergraduate degrees, their achievement of productive and satisfying careers, and their attainment of life goals. While course selection and registration are important aspects of advising, Radford University endorses a developmental approach, in which students are assisted in obtaining knowledge and developing skills that help them better understand themselves and their potential.
